Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Lt. Jay Chesser talks on a cellular phone Monday afternoon with acquaintances of a Georgia man who is presumed dead after he left this 36-foot sailboat when it ran aground during the height of Tropical Storm Claudette Sunday in St. Andrew Bay near Shell Island. FWC officials say Cambren Hoyt took a small dingy from the Morning Star, based in Panama City, and went toward Shell Island, left background. The FWC then said Hoyt may have drowned trying to swim across the St. Andrew Pass, right. Two other people on the boat were rescued. TERRY BARNER | The News Herald
